Addresses of Distinction offers a complete line of custom decorative aluminum street signs, traffic signs, wayfinding signs and decorative aluminum mailboxes. You will find a variety of styles and sizes for commercial and residential use designed to add curb appeal any environment.

What if I don't see the product I need?

We can manufacture custom street signs and custom mailboxes to fit your needs. These include custom street signs, hanging real estate signs, wayfinding signs, custom community signs, and custom mailboxes. If you do not see the exact product you need, give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.

How are the products made?

We use only the highest grade aluminum to produce our high quality aluminum community products. Due to the extent of our powder coating process, every product is extremely durable and reliable.

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. It creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. We only use the highest quality powder coating process for our products. If you would like to request more specific information, we are happy to provide an information sheet.

Why choose aluminum?

Aluminum is rust and rot free. Aluminum can literally last 20+ years if a high grade aluminum is used. Replacement parts, durability and availability make aluminum a tough choice to beat in comparison to wood and steel.

Do you offer product installation?

Addresses of Distinction offers multiple types of product installations. Our installation services include decorative mailbox installation, decorative street sign installation, community message board installation, homes for sale real estate sign installation, and many more.

What areas do you service?

Addresses of Distinction mainly services the Southern region, including but not limited to: Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Call us if you would like to request service in another region.

What are your lead times?

Our typical lead times for individual mailbox orders are approximately one week. If you are doing a community mailbox project and/or a community street sign project, typical lead times are approximately 2-3 weeks.

Does someone need to be home during installation?

No one is required to be home during the installation process. If you have any special requests, please notify us beforehand by emailing insidesales@aodmailboxes.com.

Should I be concerned about the landscaping surrounding my mailbox?

If there are flowers, vines, or other shrubbery that you would like to preserve, we recommend that you remove those plants prior to the installation and replant them afterwards. Although our installers will do their best to protect your landscaping, sometimes the removal of flowers, vines, or other shrubbery is necessary in order to properly install the mailbox and we cannot guarantee that any foliage or landscaping in the area of the installation will be protected.

Do you install with concrete?

All mailboxes installed by Addresses of Distinction are installed using concrete. We warranty all installations for a period of one year. When your mailbox is installed, please wait 24 hours before applying pressure to the post, as it takes some time for the concrete to fully cure.

How do I install my mailbox?

If you have chosen to install your mailbox on your own, we have a special guide to help you with the process. As always, you may call us with any additional questions you may have at 770-436-6198.

Do you offer maintenance?

We offer a full selection of mailbox and street sign maintenance options for you to choose from to customize your service experience.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes. Our showroom hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, closed major holidays. Our showroom is located at 2115 Hills Ave NW Atlanta, Georgia 30318. Please call to schedule your visit.

Do you offer a product warranty?

Yes. We warranty all of our products for one year of full coverage.

What is a postmaster approved mailbox?

A carrier must be able to reach inside without leaving the truck. That means positioning it 41” to 45” off the ground and back about 6” to 8” from the curb. The post should be buried no more than 24” deep, so it can give way in case of an accident.

What are breakaway signs?

Addresses of Distinction manufactures street and traffic signs that will comply with MUTCD and local regulations. Breakaway devices are designed and constructed to break or yield when struck by a vehicle. The term “breakaway” refers to crash-tested devices that break or bend upon impact.

Do you remove brick or stucco mailboxes?

Yes. However, this service is subject to a higher installation fee to include the removal of the brick or stucco mailbox unit.

What if I ordered a mailbox installation but I live in a gated community?

No problem. Just make sure to give us a call when you place your order and provide us with your gate code prior to installation. This prevents installation schedule delays.

What is your return/refund policy?

You may return an item for a refund of the merchandise total within 30 days of delivery; all you need to do is ship the item back to us. A restocking fee of 20% will apply. Return credits are issued within 7 days once the item is received and inspected. Please note, if you return an item the original shipping costs will be deducted from your total refund amount.
